"Us Against The World" - Play
This Swedish pop quartet have experienced a bit of success stateside with the support of Nickelodeon and Disney Radio with this first single. They spent the late summer touring with Aaron Carter, his sister Leslie and Swedish compatriots the A*Teens. Play's self-titled debut album for Columbia Records will be in stores in the spring of 2002.
"Lord Apollo" AND "Alright Already" - Mirainga
Originally known to fans as Mr. Mirainga, this California-based quartet has a unique Latin-Caribbean melodic rock sound. They have spent much of the past few years on the road with bands such as 311, Sublime and on the Warp tour. Both songs are previously unreleased tracks.
"Run Away" AND "Everybody Crazy" - Toyshop
"Timeless Tale" - Eva Trout
Taking their name from a 1969 novel by Anglo-Irish author Elizabeth Bowen, this Australian band are a blend of folk and rock with Celtic influences. Adored by critics and radio, Eva Trout released their first full-length album on Trauma Records in 1997. "Timeless Tale" originally appeared on their eponymously titled 1998 release on Trauma Records.
"Simply Most Loved" - The American Girls
Portland, Oregon pop wonders The American Girls are a giddy mixture of pure pop and trumpet-infused rock. "Simply Most Loved" appears on their Trauma Records 2000 release, Like The Movies, Only Slower.
"Otherwise" - Noogie
Formed in 1997 when they were still in high school, this adorable Australian foursome have an energetic, melodic punk-pop sound. Noogie are releasing their sophomore effort, Remote Controller on Trauma Records in the spring of 2002. "Otherwise" is a previously unreleased track.
"Hawaiian Dreams" - The Flys
Hollywood-based rock band The Flys were early on the alternative-rap sound, going straight to fans instead of radio they have spent the last 3 years consistently touring the states. "Hawaiian Dreams" was originally released on The Flys' Outta My Way in 2000 on Trauma Records.
